    40 hours of reseach at the summer
    Boulder, CO: The 8-week program is tentatively scheduled to run from Monday, June 11 to Friday, August 3, 2018. The SHIP poster session (which all students are required to attend and participate in) will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, August 1-2, 2018.

    Summer "Camps"-Sternberg Museum Science Camps----Our programs offer field skills training, and challenging academic content driven largely by the interests of the respective groups of students. Our instructional staff hold advanced degrees in earth and life science disciplines, along with extensive experience in education and working in field settings.
    Science Discovery offers high school students volunteer opportunities to assist with summer camps, community outreach events or behind-the-scenes administrative work. STEAM Crew volunteers provide valuable support to Science Discovery’s summer camps for K-8 students. Our STEAM Crew Team Members are selected through a competitive application process.
    Camp Neuro and Camp Cardiac
    Summer "Camps"-Sternberg Museum Science Camps----Our programs offer field skills training, and challenging academic content driven largely by the interests of the respective groups of students. Our instructional staff hold advanced degrees in earth and life science disciplines, along with extensive experience in education and working in field settings.
    With a focus on both education and real world experience, Camp Neuro provides students with a unique opportunity to learn directly from experts in both the medical and psychological fields. In addition, this 1-week summer day camp provides a foundation for healthy living with an emphasis on both diet and exercise. Although Camp Neuro's primary focus is on care and maintenance of the brain as well as psychology, it provides an excellent starting point for careers in all fields of medicine.
    Camp Neuro is a 1-week (Monday to Friday) summer day camp running daily from 8:30am to 4:00pm. The camp is open to high school students (including Spring/Summer 2018 graduates) 15-18 years of age as of first day of assigned session and currently residing in the US.

    Scientists in Action: Connecting Students with Scientists (Grades 4- 12)
    Scientists in Action connects students directly with scientists during a live, interactive broadcast from field sites or research labs. During these free, 45 minute Q&A sessions, scientists demonstrate research techniques, share new discoveries, demystify the scientific process, and open a window into science careers.

    Teen Science Scholars complete hands-on summer internships with research and collections staff at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. In 2018, internships will be available in anthropology, arachnology, archaeology, earth science, education collections, health science, ornithology, photography, zoology, and botany collections. Teen Science Scholar interns receive a monthly stipend, bus passes, and Museum cafeteria vouchers to offset cost of living expenses during the term of their internship.     Ecosystem Science and Sustainability Scholar in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics - ESS S-Stem Fellowship
    The ESS S-Stem Fellowship provides eligible Colorado residents an opportunity to study environmental change and solutions in a scholarly program that supports student success. Student fellows pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability or Watershed Science, take a set of common courses, and have opportunities to engage in research, internships, and other learning outside the classroom. Fellows who begin the program as freshmen may also participate in the CSU Bridge Scholars Program for recent high school graduates and be members of the Natural Resources & Sustainability Residential Learning Community.
